Anton Kalcik
Anton W. Kalcik, Sr., 77, died Sunday at the Ridgeview Nursing Home in DePere. His home address was 616 Center Street, Kewaunee. Funeral services were held Wednesday morning at 11 a.m., Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Rev. Frank Melchior officiated and burial was in the church cemetery. Buchanan Funeral Chapel handled the arrangements.
He was born September 5, 1897, in Ellisville, a son of the late John and Anna Hanna Kalcik. He farmed in the Kewaunee area all his life. About five years before his retirement he was also employed with Kewaunee Engineering corporation.
On September of 1923, Mr. Kalcik married Anna Pribek. She died in February, 1929.
On September 20, 1934 he married Julia Blahnik Schroeder at Kewaunee.
She survives with: two daughters, Mrs. Donald ‎(Joan)‎ Pekarek, Mishicot and Miss Mildred Kalchik, Milwaukee; a son Anton, Jr., Kewaunee; two step daughters Mrs. Gilbert ‎(Gladys)‎ Paplham, Kewaunee and Mrs. Donald ‎(Grace)‎ Hanson, Belvedere, Ill.: two step-sons, Tobert E. Schroeder, Kewaunee and Wallace W. Schroeder, Milwaukee; a brother George of Two Rivers; four sisters Mrs. Emma Skubal and Mrs. Joseph ‎(Rose)‎ Paul, both of Kewaunee, Mrs. Leona Schweiner, Mishicot, and Mrs. Albert ‎(Caroline)‎ Frasch, Two Rivers; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; eleven step grandchildren; and seven step great grandchildren.
