  Text: Michael Jeffrey Kelley, a lifelong resident of Calvin, Louisiana, passed away on December 5, 2016 after a short illness. Services will be held at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 in the Southern funeral Home chapel of Winnfield with Reverend Dick Debusk presiding. The visitation will be Wednesday at the funeral home from 12:00 Noon until time of service with a rosary being said at 2:30 PM. Interment will follow in Bethlehem Cemetery in Calvin.

Jeff was born on September 25,1959 to the union of Maxine Barnes Kelley and Marvin Julian Kelley. Following his graduation from Calvin High School, Jeff became a welder by trade. At the age of 18 he became a member of the Pipefitters Union #798. His welding jobs gave him many opportunities to travel throughout the world to many different countries.

In 1996 he married the love of his life, Tracy Maggio Kelley. He was a devoted father to their two children, daughter, Makayla Jyssica and son, Manning Gauge. As his children began to grow up and become more involved in school, Jeff decided to stay closer to home. He partnered with Robbie Griffin to form J- MAC Dirt Work and Construction where he worked until his death.

Jeff was an outdoorsman. He was an avid hunter and marksman. He spent many hours hunting deer on his family land. Friends from far and near would join him in long distance shooting competitions. Jeff's love of the outdoors provided him with many hours of enjoyment with his family and friends.

Jeff was preceded in death by his father, Marvin Julian Kelley; his maternal grandparents, Veda Higgs Barnes and Tom Barnes; and his paternal grandparents, Lela and Ed Kelley.

He is survived by his wife of twenty years, Tracy; his children, Jyssie and Manny; his loving mother, Maxine Kelley; his sister, Rhonda Pulis and her husband Kennith; his in-laws, Roy and Jeannette Maggio; niece, Sarah Davidson and her husband Cody.

Those friends and family members honored to serve as pallbearers are: Chris Bedgood, Robbie Griffin, James Haymon, Tyler Haymon, Nicholas Page, Tim Maloy, Kennith Pulis and Tom Trawick, Jr. Honorary pall bearers are Richard Kelley, Tim Page, Victor Page and Ricky Kelley.

Memorials may be made in Jeff's memory to Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Post Office Box 1412, Winnfield, Louisiana 71483.

Jeff may be gone from this earth, but will remain forever in the hearts of those that loved him so dearly, and in the lives he helped through his organ donations.
