Funeral services for Ernest Bishop, 64, of Jonesboro were held at 2 p.m. Sunday in Jonesboro Methodist Church with the Rev. Edlred Blakely officiating.

Burial was in Garden of Memories Cemetery near Jonesboro.

Mr. Bishop died unexpectedly Saturday, May 18, 1968 at his fishing camp in Natchitoches Parish.

He was a member of the Jonesboro Methodist Church and was employed at the Continental Can Corp. paper mill in Hodge.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Jessie Bishop, Jonesboro; one son, Glen Bishop, Groves, Tex.; two daughters, Mrs. Virginia Jones and Mrs. Blanch Odenbaugh, both of Jonesboro; one brother, Curtis Bishop, Winnfield; two sisters, Dr. Vera Stewart, Birmingham, Ala., and Mrs. Gladys Bullock, Calvin; and seven grandchildren.
